At XenServer we have been prototyping an alternative approach to getting >2TB support in SMAPIv1 SRs, involving switching out tapdisk for qemu-dp.
In this session we can briefly present what we’ve done and what remains to do, and then discuss the approach and the benefits / drawbacks it has over adding qcow2 support to tapdisk.
