Current Xen ABI is based on hypercalls that are based on virtual addresses and has several shortcomings. Aside the hypervisor complexity and performance aspects, this is fundamentally incompatible with confidential computing technologies like AMD SEV and Intel TDX.
The goal of this design session is to try moving forward on such new ABI project and agreeing on the intent and design ideas.
